thats really fooked me off serious!

mate was selling a full computer had everythink 17in crt, keyboard = both crap £1's bargain crap! lol.. just without an OS & a mouse

So gave him half the money

Told me the spec was AMD athlon xp 2800+ 2.8ghz, 1gb ram... so tinked with it & booted it up, the only thing is.. is thats not the spec of it its a 2.0ghz, 512mb ram

& he wants the rest of the money (we agreed to) even tho now ive told him the actually spec of it, i said fook off mate i aint paying what you want for it even tho i boot it up & find out its nowhere near the spec you said it was

Now what to.. i said you can keep the half money i gave you & that be it... or refund my money back & take your piece of shit back home where it came from!!! but hes not the sort to give money back

How much are we talking? even for the spec it was meant to be it should be pennys(well not literally)

 

Agreed to £80 for it all, also 80gb hdd, tv-card, some raiden fanless 128mb gpu 10 year old crap lol

Gave him £40 upfront but wants the other £40, now i was buying the spec he told me 2.8 & if it was that then this topic wouldnt exist lol

Plan was to build it up decent spec & sale on

 

Lesson here? Have a look at it (running) before handing over cash!

He may have genuinely not known the spec and was going on what someone else told him - most belive the AMD 2800 is a 2.8 - like they think 3400's are 3.4's - they aren't!

Not much of a mate tho if he won't give the money back

 

also if the cpu is an amd 2800 it doesn't mean it runs at 2.8ghz

for what it is mate, I reckon money is about right anyway (£40 that is) so it's not as if he has ripped you off so far. I wouldn't say £80 no way, not even for what its supposed to be!
