There is a young drivers scheme for 18-21 but generally 21 is a minimum.

I shall be doing my test some time this year, but how long do you have had to have your driving licence before applying for hgv provisional etc.

his driving is no better than the dicks he chases

not surprised he had a blow out, doing 120 in the fookin rain

as for driving on the chevrons he should know better,he even mentioned there would be debris there and still does it,
i work on the motorways and the coppers can be the worst,we work in lane 3 and you often get coppers on the other carriageway doing well in excess of 100,about a foot from where i am working, even if there is no traffic in lanes 1 and 2.

Scania do there own training mate, they sorted my licence, medical & driving assessment, also provided me with the theory dvd, hazard perception dvd, theory handbook, and highway code, which ive never picked up before since i was 17 lol...i'm more worried about the theory in practice, ive read about people pressing mouse too much or not enough etc and failing although ive passed it 5 times on the dvd test. As for how long u have passed i dont think it matters so long as you are 21 and have a full car licence oh but u have to do Class C (rigid) 1st then C=E (trailor) when you have passed the Class C and waited 3 week for the licence to come back to you.

Im doing my class 2 (C) now actually im not doing class 2 and 1 back to back though i decided to leave the artic till i got a bit of experience and some references behind me and hopefully work somewhere willing to help with the cost of it

The hazard perception isnt that bad so dont worry about mouse clicks unless you just taking pot shots and hoping for the best, spent ages teaching my mother to drive a car so ive been through the HP test with her (a few times......).

Best o luck fella

With Scania direct its Ł1600 plus Vat for everything - 2 one week blocks but u cant do it back to back. Gotta get rigids first then 3week wait and do artic.

Well i had a 2 hour assessment drive in and around Sheffield today, fuckin ell i shall never curse a lorry again I only drove the Class2 rigid, so much to take in and understand on the day, main problems i found was keeping too the speed limit as thats an ultimate fail, also getting used to the hi lo range gearbox where 1st becomes 5th and 4th becomes 8th etc, i found i kept wanting to take my eyes off the road to look at the gear shift pattern as well as thinking to operate the hi lo switch on the gearstick while remembering everything else, oh and you have to use the push pull steering method, so all my bad habits are gunna get found out

Passed my theory test today - 59/60 and 53 out of 75 on the Hazard perception, the fuckin thing gave me no score on scene 1 & 3 so i was panicking and under clicking afterwards but just scraped in.
