Car is now idling high since fitting my pro alloy cooler. Been told to check for air leaks however just wondered what people had used to pressurise the system. Any help appreciated.

its much easier to check for air leaks with the engine running and a can or carb cleaner....
squit the carb cleaner around all the joints/gasgets on the inlet side, when the engine suddenly revs up (becasue its sucked in some of the solvent) you will have found your leak. onyl takes a few mins to do aswell as its fairly obvious when u've found it...

No not using mikalor clamps but when i had a look it looks like the gasket has pushed out in places. Tried spraying carb cleaner but couldn't hear any differences

i replaces all my scabby old ford clips with some stainless Hi-Grip ones...
you can then use a 7mm flexi drive 6 point socket to tighten them as tight as you can plus teo full turns
= no leaks
