Was a great success on Sunday at Elvington. Did any of you guys get up and have a butchers at some real machines.

Joking apart, the event went very well and we saw some awesome bits of Subaru machinery being thrashed up the 1/4 and handling circuit.

Andy Forrest did well coming 1st in the 1/4's and 2nd on the handling. Roger Clark Motorsports Gob stopper project did very well also and won the handling and came 2nd on the 1/4m.

Our Spec C did OK for it's first real shakedown / event this year on a new engine and setup. Coming 6th (1.5s slower than the RCM winning car) out of 85+ competitors. Needs some setup work on the suspension to sort out some rebound issues, which should see it being a top performer on the handling.

I went. Was good but cold. Must admit was surprised at how much more relaxing my mates modded WRX was on the motorway compared to my S2 RST. Could actually talk without shouting.

The roger clark car and andy forrests were both very impressive.

Your car, like your haircut is stuck in the 80's! Believe me curly sue, this Spec C will be a weapon come the handling track at TOTB this year. The only trouble is, I need to find someone that can actually do the car some justice behind the wheel.

FORD are doing well this year... granted. Just a shame the car cant come no where near Seb though! You will be pushed back in to the glory days with the Mk1's when Subaru use the new WRC car next season.

you couldn't drive a greasy stick up a dogs ass you could have an all singing and dancing WRC scooby and you still wouldn't win

3/4 of it is down to the driving talent which is something you have not got

Didn't FORD win the manufacturer's championship last year with Subaru a lowly third - 89 points behind FORD?

 

I was there, me and my mate did the 280ml round trip up to a cold wet Yorshire.
It was a good day but there could have been a bit more for the public in the way of traders.

On a different note RCM and Andy F's car both were stupid fast and for Andy to do the 1/4 in 9.33 @155 mph was excellent stuff
