Right I know of a blue 3 door running a TT 24v cosworth motor.

It has been rebuilt with a new block and pistons and lots of other stuff.

the Car was maped at PJ on the dyno pack, the map had chucked away and started again the run out of time, but managed to map the car to 19psi.

the engine is 2933cc runing 19psi

Then lets see some reliability out of the car. Peak power is just pub talk willy waving especially if its not usable or reliable

mark the last engine lasted over 2 years mate so thats a little unfair and it gets the shit kicked out of it.

and the last engine did not fail, but it was getting tired.

Ratty we are talking boost to Bhp, I was just amazed when seen the result and I wanted to be sure it was not out.

I poped in to day and the graphs were on the table.

Gotta agree with Ratty on this one i'm afraid.

Last one may well have lasted 2 years but still no times or proper figures for that let alone a new one and a decent built engine should have lasted a lot longer than 2 years.............................................

I am not going to get into a slagging match, I just poped in to get some bits for my xr4x4 and spotted the graphes and asked about them and got those details. I was just thinking its a lot of power so little boost.

No disrespect but I'll await some proper timings (if they ever happen) before getting excited about this car, the proof of performance is in its times not its rr report. At least my crappy Maestro has posted times on track (all be it slower than I'd hoped)

well ryan is close 471 bhp, how much boost would a YB take to make that power?

Ratty I think it did a topspeed run and made a not very remarable 167 mph. but it was faster the a YB focus.

 

well it obviously wouldnt do it on a t3, it would take a t34 at like 28-29 psi.

Don't forget it has 2 hair driers and not one though

 

actually just noticed it was at the wheels, so even a t34 wouldnt do that, you would need a t4, with about the same boost i reckon.

 

ratty yeah i know, but i have only seen 1 or 2 yb's with twin turbo's and they werent even t3's then were t2 derivitives i think

The YB focus that is pretty much Stage 3 spec so only 350bhp ish so it sould easily beat it anyway.

As for PJ hub dyno, they either get really good power out of there cars or it over reads imo.
