How big are your Greys?
Mine seem to be 1680cc each
Bosch part number- 0 280 150 846
I knew they were meant to be 1500cc ones, but didnt know the make (come in a "Ford Racing" box) till now theyve arived, or that they were grey, obv.
At least I know they Bosch ones now, so all that "I wouldnt buy them injectors from the states, they junk with very unequal flow rates, get bosch ones instead" stuff seems to be unfounded.
About 125quid for 8, new, happy days

thats fine, cc out, but phil was saying a lot of non-bosch american injectors are absolutley MILES out, like dangerously so.
that might be bosch sales speak or bullshit, but thats what he said.
but these are bosch, so dont matter a toss.
just come in a flashy ford racing box

about 3 times the size, and twice as many of them, lol
Stav has ordered enough fuel injector flow to cater for about 2500+bhp there!

Seriously tho, dont need that big an injector by a mile, but it means I got room to expand if I buy a Dart block in the future...

If you are running 400bhp or there abouts, a set of greys is a VERY reliable option.
the old type grey injector is a bit of a dinosaur has a very large pintel the 83 lb semens is alot finer even thow it flows more karl got my co down to 1.26 for the mot with out closed loop wired up as karl dont agree with it as it causes excess heat on cooling down laps on track days
its cheaper to get 1000cc injectors and check them out than it is to buy a set greys

a car running on a very weak closed loop map will run hotter than a none lambda if the map is richer low down
so bring your car to low rpm after giving it large at 8000 plus for 20 mins will not do it no good well thats what i been avised

Brom, leaner mixtures burn hotter yes. But the heat is NOTHING LIKE what the engine is getting on boost - it's negligable so will still cool down significantly. I understand the thinking behind it, but when it comes down to it it's going to be a negligable difference. I'd rather run lean for a nice clean engine. Carbon deposits on piston and valves from a rich mixture causing hot spots are far more dangerous!
But yea, back on topic lol.
