Nice work on the rebuild!

I've always wondered with fire damaged shells, do they lose any strength in the chassis legs after getting so hot? Do they become brittle when the cold water from the fire engine hits the hot metal?

Nice work When I saw the first 2 photos I thought there was no way you'd salvage anything from that Did the heat from the fire do much damage to the engine (internally)?

That was lucky I'd always wondered if fire did any internal damage due to the heat. At least you've had chance to give everything a good freshen up.
