My mat asked me to look at his car, Its a Mk5 escort with the HCS engine. Its has pats (red chip in the key) the light on the dash board is flashing, The car wont car and the fuel pump wont prime, I connected power to the fuel pump and shorted the starter, It cranked but still wouldnt start.

Any ideas?

 

if its a problem with pats its probably cutting the ignition system aswell.

 

There is power on the EDIS but I never checked for power to the coil or I didnt check for a spark, Hmm, Im a dumb ass
