Stavros swears by em he has intercoolers off them on both his skyline and s13 and he has bought loads of other parts off them i think from following his resto posts as there was some whohar a few years ago but by the seems of it they have changed and now produce some good stuff

 

i guess thats a good start as Steve seems to know whats good and whats not. Hopefully he'll post up.

I want a cooler but dont see the point in spanking loads on 1 make if this does the job

How much was your cooler? Just found the rad/ic combo buy it now £350. Auction starts at £230.

My cooler alone was £200,it was fitted before the secs so canny compare them soz m8.

 

i want to get a uprated rad so might go for one of these

first thing to ask.....are the 60mm or 70mm outlets.

pretty sure they are 70mm meaning they are rs500 sized hoses.

also you have to consider the angle of the i/c inlet,looks a bit toooo angled.

i have one for my mk.2 escort and they are the things i noticed.

xs seems ok, the outlets diretion like the scallie pointed out is the only issue ive heard of,,,, but the cooler i aint heard a bad word

 

i paid £230 all in there allways on there just bid on some and wait i won two and there were ok with me only taking one the lowest one the other i won for £250

 

just get the roose hoses paul sorted them out as he knows the problem something about not facing down the hses aobut £45 each

ive got the rad/cooler combo, but not put it on yet. Wait about a month and i'll let ya know.

 

we've put one onto a subaru and it seems good quality.

im just trying to find my jap mag that had the testing of these on a 200sx with pace and a few others there and xspower come out best with pace coming 2nd and another 2 others but xs power were loads better than pace.

i had on eon my 200sx and it was superb

 

is it not false economy buying a intercooler cheap(£250) then spend £50+ on hoses ect and postage surely its just easier to buy one off rapid ford is it the radtec type?

I'm not gonna fanny about with a cooler that doesnt just drop in, fit my hoses and work properly

 

We tried an XSPower Intercooler and Radiator on the Evo ages ago and did testing on both. Neither were nowhere near as good as standard.

The car now has a Koyo radiator and a GReddy V-Spec Intercooler. Shame you can't get that kind of stuff for Ford's!!

i think the xs is what you pay for , dont get me wrong i dont believe in paying over the odds for branded items but they cant sell them cheap without skimping on materials cores ect and like i said earlier bu the time you have paid out on bits to get it fitted right fucked around getting it to fit you might aswell get one of thos rapidford radtec ones at least it fits and theres few already runing them on big hp with no probs . A bigger cooler is my next thing and i was tempted to go for the xs but id rather fit something right for the car and been tested on all sorts of cossies ! spend enough time fixin the twat without buyin bits you have to make fit
