yes i have a 20gig bad boy thats maybe 18months old now. Its not all that big.

Battery life is EXCELLENT!!

I wouldn't like to quote current prices as i have no idea. You can get various memory sizes now too i think.

No special software

Its called "sonic stage". Open it up and drag and drop mp3's to the library then transfer to mp3 player Or you can convert to sony's own format "attrac" which is smaller file.

I bought a 2gb version of this a couple months back. I'd never owned a MP3 player before. But this gets better sound quality reviews than the ubiquitous iPod. And is cheaper.

Sony Walkman at Amazon

What I like best:

Sound is Great. Really Bassy
Noise Cancelling Headphones work well
Its the size of a cigarette lighter!
Software is pretty easy to use

What I dont like

You can only charge it through a USB port
Theres no "Off" switch. But you can get round this.
It doesnt like WMA files.

On that last point. Apart from Limewire can anyone recommend a source for Mp3's. I registered with Napster but their catalogue is a bit lacking. I understand that iTunes doesn't work with non-iPods.

Anyone?
