never use budget tyres on high speed cars
just wanted to know what tyes peeps are running on their s2's, in terms of stopping performance and grip. need to get a set asap.

to be honest i have used all types of tyres and wheels and have found from personal experience that:

a 16" wheel with toyo proxie tyres is awesome all year round, they have a nice sticky compound and are keenly priced.

you also get the road legal slicks that both toyo and yoko make but that i would advise only for summer driving and if you do alot of quater mile sprints. very very expensive

 

Toyo Proxes 888 sg compound best £270 I've spent on it recently. sticks to road like shit to a blanket + great feedback thru the steering wheel as well.

 

Proxes T1R's and T1S are good, as are Goodyear Eagle F1's. Michelin Pilots were good but wore slightly quicker due to being softer compound but were spot-on handling-wise.
