Default Performance cams?

Is there a way of telling if a cam has been reground to a different profile just by looking at it? Is it possible to measure the cam lobes and determine this?

NO + YES in that order.
If you have the guages, ie DTI guage as a minimum you can measure the lift which will no doubt be increased on a performance one, just zero on lobe then watch lift.

Also if its been reground by kent/piper it should say on the end of the cam what profile it is,BD10 etc, will also have PC or KC on there to tell who re-profiled it

On the rear end of camshaft, not pulley end
