Default 13" Wheels but what brakes???

Hi,

First I'd like to say hello to you all as you can see I've just joined but have used the forum before through a friend.

I'm in need of some advise as to what size brakes I can get away with using my 13" Compomotive Minilite wheels (Ford Fitment)?

My car is a Reliant Kitten and I'm using Ford english axle with rear disk conversion on the rear but I'm having problems modifying the front brakes to Escort Mk 1/2.

With the car being double wishboned I can't just swap hubs, so I'm either going to have to make Anglia hubs fit and buy a Disk Conversion or modify the origianal set up to Mini 4 Pots and buy PCD adapter plates from 4 x 100mm to 4 x 108mm.

This car is giung to be a road legal track and drar car btw, I wouldn't actually use a Reliant Kitten everyday!!

Could anyone please tell me the biggest brakes I could get.
I was looking at Princess 4 Pots, would these fit under 13s?

Cheers

First one I thought of was the princess calipers M16 fitting, you can get kits to convert to a wider disc as well for these.
Rallye Sport do the as well as others, I would have a word with BIGGRED.CO.UK if you want set as his prices are VERY good.

ps post some piccies up when done!!, KITTEN's are VERY underrated and go round corners like they are on rails, use it, it will shock loads of boy racers!!

280 Wilwoods from Rally Design

Or 257 vents with M16 fitment wilwoods

AS the AP princess cals are good but very heavy and rare in good condition.. imo

Yes they will fit i used them on my cortina using RS 4 spokes and vented 257 mm disc's from rally design(the cals were spaced out also)

Check out Rally Design you won't be dissapointed

Yeah John and Robin are still biulding cars.
just comnpleted another Moggie I think - I spoke to him not so long ago about some issues with the Kitten.

The pair of them are an inspiration to me after what they have achieved with a bit of hard work and thinking differently.
