today i get me wire to finally wire up me ceramic hob ( only lived here 2+ months ), when i go to buy the wire i then get told when i return the fooking oven aint working

i know im prob the laziest diy person as ive had the hob and oven sincestart or june

now i gotta actually buy a oven and alkl me money is gon e on the cossie till payday

anyone know about electric fan asisted ovens, the fan works, clock works and the grill appears to get hot but the light dont turn on (in the oven) and oven dont heat up, could the bulb be the reason ?????, sorry but my last oven was gas, there easy when there fooked as they smell funny

It's deffo the bulb m8, the grills are there for show and no use whatsoever

Get a good 20W bulb in there and your roast will cook in minutes

Seriously, no idea m8.

i mean do they wire the bulb up as a indicator or a power breaker or somink to tell ya when theres a problem and in return when the bulb goes the oven dont work if it blows


please say yeah, i dont wanna buy a fookign oven bulb ( they aint cheep the fooking robing tossers) and find its just fooked

wonder if i can get jim round to help me fix it

I have posted on your other thread, I take it you mean the light inside the oven when you say bulb... That's only so that you can see inside the oven when you're cooking something, beats using a torch...

Oven should work even if the bulb is knackered, so I'd say there is something wrong with your oven.

Doesn't sound like it's old though, can't you get it replaced under warranty ?

If the fan works it will be that the element in the back of the oven has probably burnt out (not hard to replace), the bulb will just be coincidental & probably didn't go at the same time but you just haven't noticed till now.
