When was that though? Tax has gone up now, and from 2001 it went on emissions

So your GTR wouldnt be affected.

Highest rate is £300 at the mo so can't be right, going up to £400 next year though for highest ones.
I think all scoob, evo, skyline owners should pay more, and cossie owners should have free tax as they have the best cars!!

only the newer ones, as they have high emmissions. cars registered after march 06 with high emmissions will pay 300 this year and 400 next...

they are in the same catorgory that the press brand as gas guzzlers

If you can't afford £400 tax you certainly can't afford a new Evo or any other new car.

however.....

for some reason, i want another cossie....
and i dont know why....i want a 3dr, but love 4wd...maybe a 4wd 3dr...

It was a joke!!, whilst I admire the EVO and such like for engineering advances I would not have one, (despite having the money), I bought a £3k cossie and spent 3.5-4K on doing that up instead.
Driven lots of evos, scoobs but just so BORING for me but each to their own and all that.
Best jap car I drove was COLT LANCER 2000 TURBO or STARION, followed by RA 28 CELICA.
Power per pound cossie is light years ahead of all though!!

My view entirely - if you can afford a £15k plus car you can afford £400 to tax the bastard thing. Stop whining.

£112.50 down the drain today for the civic! Bring back dirty dervs cheap to tax Fook it im going back to derv come winter time agian, cant be arsed running cars anymore Though the civic is great fun.

Im sure having a crack addiction is cheaper?

I don't disagree at all that it's a rip-off. It is. End of.

But if you want to drive a car like that (which is your choice, no-one's holding a gun to your head) and you can afford to drive a car that attracts that level of tax duty then you have to pay it. If you don't want to pay that tax, drive a Prius.
