hi guys im building a zetec turbo lump, this will be my first engine build, ive done a few engine conversions, but ive never built an engine from the ground up, i had a rs focus lump in my car but it never ran right , so ive removed it and stripped it down,

since then ive sold the head and turbo, as i needed the money, but know im in a good postition to start building her up again.

ive heard the st170 head is one of the better ones to go for, is this correct , i m guessing i should do away with the vvt,

what management should i use, what inlet manifold ? what headwork should i do anything i should do to the bottom end ?

any help will be much appreicated (sp) cheers

I would of just stuck with the FRS engine myself that should of been a relatively easy conversion being as its the same car, corners had obviously been cut if it didnt run right.

 

i think it was down to the engine condition itself, wasnt in the greatesrt shape when we removed it, we kinda rushed it and just put the lump in without checking it over first .

silly i know but you learn buy your mistakes

 

 

ST170 head will work a treat

Speak to Ian Howell at Area 6 about inlet etc.
