How to clean your cossie ram-air cone filter?
Hi.
Can someone give me some tips on cleaning my ram-air cone airfilter.
I know there's a special goodie which you have to use to clean, after that I think I should spray water through the filter, from the inside.
After that, a night of drying will make things 100%.
- What other sort of products can I use instead of RAM-AIR cleaner?
- Is there a simple solution for cleaning this filter without unmounting the Samco hose from the filter (it's really tight around the cone filter right now).
Thank you in advance.

I used to put my Piper X Foam Filter in Fairy liquid and let it soak for half an hour, that seemed to do the job, then re-oil once dried, but you cannot do that with the cotton ones like my new Big k & n one..

Can explain to me what you mean by "re-oil"?
I think the material of the pipercross and ram-air conefilters is the same, sort of foam/spongy.
Did you remove the hose completely from the filter, or did you only remove the hose from the turbo?

I took the filter off the hose on mine, and put it ina bucket, tbh you coudl prob
leave the hose on. You have to re-oil filters when you clean em, Piper X supply
you with a spray can full of filter oil, you just use that, I expect they do one for the
Ram Air, It is basically to help catch crap that try's to go thro the filter..
