Been awarded a GOC's Commendation for Iraq (OP TELIC 8)
Unknowingly my boss put me forward for a General Officer Commanding's Commendation for my hard work in Iraq on OP TELIC 8 last year.
I have been awarded it and mentioned in various Soldier related magazines.
I am over the moon and to say I am happy is an understatmement
Will have to go infront of the Brigadier soon to recieve my framed plaque award thing.
Won't do my career any harm either

Is OP TELIC the name given to the whole thing or is that relating to a specific area?
Only asking as when i was writing to my brother out there I had to address the letters to him at op telic.
