Default any plumbers on here who can give me a bit of advice please

I got a new boiler installed and thermostats put on all my rads etc a couple of months ago, last night i bledd 2 rads as they were cold at top and hot at bottom, since i bleed the rads my bioler is now showing no pressure on the gauge, although i the hot water doesnt seem to have lost any pressure and all the rads work etc, i cant get hold of the plumber who installed it, so until he is back is there anything obvious i can do to sort it?

cheers for any help

i work for brittish gas. have you topped the boiler back up to 1.5 bar via the filling loop since bleeding the rads?

boiler need topping up to 1 bar on the pressure gauge. you do this with the filling loop.

its a braded hose probably sited just under your boiler. turn both taps to increase pressure

and make sure you turn it off properly

do not run the bolier if the pressure gauge reads 0 it will over heat.
bleed the rads with the boiler off then top the gauge up to 1.5. everything should be fine then.

should be somewhere close to the boiler on the mains water pipe. you really need to phone the numpty that installed it as he should have given you basic operating instructions on how to top up etc....

it could be that the filling loop has been capped off, as a lot of plumbers/gas fitters dont like leaving them on. Your best bet is 2 try and get hold of the plumber who fitted it for you, but i wouldnt touching your boiler if u dont really know what yr doing
