does the frst need the speed sensor connected to !!!
to start the car,,, as in a mate of mine has swoped boxes and hes not moved over the speed sensor from the box,,, wondering if the car will start or not ?

Dont think hes on about the crank sensor, The speedo will work that is done mechanically and the speed sensor is on a leccy multi plug thing.
Mine ran without it connected and Tony from Turbosystems at the time told me not to run it not sure why though

and clearly you ARE that thick if you thought it wouldn't start cos the speedo signal ain't connected
maybe cause SOME ecu's wont start unless all sensors are conected when they turn the key as they self test and find a broken circuit so wont allow to start as a saftey measure,,, but you wouldnt know that cause your still using a car with 1970's engine management
btw ive had peopla at work call stuff all sorts,,, but dont mean its the actual name people refer to when you want a REAL answer
but then thats cause the cam sensor is to mesure the engines speed,, the crank sensor is for the bottoms end position based on the crank spins twice as fast as the the real engine speed
