Default Why are Londoners bad drivers????

Spent all day in London again today and the number of bad drivers down there is ridiculous!! Bus drivers just pull out without looking, and bikes flying around all over the place, drivers cutting you up, forcing their way in not bothering that their 2mm away from your car! and to top it off, they think nothing of it.

Why is it that when you let them in, they never acknowledge you to say thanks!?!

Is there actually a logical reason why they seem to be the worst and most selfish drivers in the country, or is it something that comes naturally?

if you dont drive in the city like a plank you wont get anywhere

if you let someone in, there will be another 20 cars all pushing you out

it helps if you have a works van worth less than a daily newspaper

I have to agree!! When in London, I just push my way past people. I do have the courtesy to use indicators to inform people that they are going to get shoved out of the way though.

Problem is when I leave London, I still drive like that for the 200 mile journey home and for a couple of days afterwards!!

I wouldn't like to drive anything expensive there though. Unless I was minted.

You adapt very quickly, i've had police behind me and seen the worst bit of driving ever in front almost hitting people and going too fast etc. police did nothing, and infact they overtook me and did the same. Its london driving at its finest.

i love driving in london, but i have noticed that weekday driving is different from weekends, on a weekday everyone knows the score and looks after themselfs, they know where they are going and know how to get there, at weekends, you got the people that don't normally drive in london, and they really do get in the way, they blast their horns if you do something they think is bad, that on a weekday people take no notice of,

at the moment i drive a 38tonne artic in london on weekdays, i have to drive very defensively so as not to run cars over, but its great fun in that size of vehicle.

Sounds like i need to get with it then and drive like everyone else. I have noticed that when you let one person in about 10 end up flying out infront of you too.

Ive also noticed that most of the vans you see are complete and utter sheds.

London, during the day is awful to drive through! If you don't push your way in & make stupid short cuts you get NOWHERE! I hate driving in london!!!! Aslong as your driving doesn't effect anyone else it doesn't matter! I'd never take a cossie through london! NEVER!
