Default Problem with my shower (UPDATE)

My shower has been playing up recently. When you turn it on, it has been taking 5 -10 seconds before the water comes through now there is no water at all. Phoned the company and they said it was faulty electrics and nothing to do with them.
can anyone help?
Cheers , kevin

Sounds like a faulty pump, does it power up?

Ok, just got home from work, the orange light on the pull cord fitting is not illuminated, so i guess there's no power.
ive checked the RCD that's ok
the house is less than 4 years old so the wiring should be sound.

or is it sparky time!!
