guess what? renewal quote is more than last year! 
who do you recommend for escort cosworth, stage 3?

try endsleigh.
they've got me covered as the only driver (on a provisional license), for my last 3 cars. (with a significantly lower premuim than any other insurer I contacted)
they accept a long list of mods, look after your no claims for ya, and I've laways had great customer service from them.
just don't bother with the website - it gave me a quote on the new escort of Ł792
once I stopped laughing I rang 'em up and it was only Ł37 more per year than my old escort
