Default EBC brakes

I've ordered some brand spanking new EBC front discs and pads for my Saff.

I know the 3 door and 2wd Saff have the same calipers, but I don't remember the Saff having any kind of brake wear indicator (apart from not stopping )

The pads I've received are for 2wd 4 pots, but have the cable for the wear indicator - am I ok to just tie this up somewhere or lop it off?

It is possible to utilise the wear indicators if you wish as they are only two copper pads in the pad to complete a circuit when pressed against the disc and worn down enough, disc complete the lecky circuit.
