How many people have Bonnet Pins on their car??
Whats peoples opinions of them??
I've heard about quite a few people who have had their bonnet open and smash their window while driving along this year! This wouldnt happen with Bonnet Pins would it?!

I'm thinking about getting lockable ones, i've only ever seen them on one fiesta! I really dont know much about them! But i dont fancy my bonnet flying open while i'm driving along!
Emma got the lockable ones first but she didnt like the look of them so she got the sparco ones
You'll find that people wont want to drill your bonnet as when me and emma went to pick her car up when it had be painted he didnt want to drill her bonnet just incase he got it wrong

You can get some called Aerocatch.
They're what we hold our bonnet and tailgate on with for our race cars at work.
Look a lot less 'chav' than some of the other stuff.
You can get lockable ones as well if you like

miss fiesta > is yours a standard bonnet? i doubt a standard one will be as hard to drill as mine. mine is carbon fibre and cost me Ł425 (not to mention its my third one! )
I dont care if the bonnet pins look chav though, i needed them badly and was not prepared to fork out another Ł425 for a new bonnet if it flew up!
i say go for it

yeah, they did look poop! they would instantly distract the eye from the rest of the car as they were too big.
i got the sparco ones that i think are associated with chavs but they look mint on mine dont they mike

^^^ oh dear!
am i right in thinking that i can still keep my original bonnet catch working too... just have the pins on as an extra safe measure?!

You can keep the original catch, though this can make them a pain to use. They must be lined up perfectly, so that you can still drop the bonnet as you would have previously.
I aren't a real fan of the look, mine were fitted when I couldn't run a catch. If I put another RST bonnet on it (I have a non-turbo bonnet at at the moment), I may look at something else.

like ive stated, i dont care how uncool/chav they are...i need them!
Its more Escorts that have the problem with the bonnet catch going rather than Fiesta's so your car should be ok
im having pins put in when i get my bodywork done but thats only because i dont trust my catch after having everything moved forward
Will be fitting the Aerocatch ones when i do rather than the chrome style ones

@ Batfink > luckily its never actually flew up on me but i had to stick to 60mph on motorways etc as it would flap up and down and you could feel the wind lifting it. It was very scary when the wind was strong!
My first bonnet was damaged, the second bonnet was ok but someone rolled back into me an fooked all the front
so this is 3rd time lucky! hence why i got the pins on asap
