I've finally got round to getting my pictures up.....

i wanted to make it a little different to other gti's without a drastic change of bodywork, thought it would be subtle.

same with the grille, however, im tempted to put the good old original back on!! can't make my mind up possibly a set of black alloys at some point

fitted some shiny bits today s/s manifold heat shield and chrome bonnet stay courtesy of auto specialists...

 

that is a really excellent example u got there mate. Even the drivers seat leather is mint, alot of them are starting to crack and tear now. Not sure if i would put black alloys on it to be honest

im in two minds about it, i want to make it slightly different to other gti's without sacrificying it's originality bit of a catch 22!!

 

Looks mint mate - get a set of MOs on it i think anthracite ones would look nice, but then i'm biased!

having said that, I do like the style of the MO's and darker alloys always give a meaner look

I've taken a leaf out of SPI's books and used a foam item from B & Q to put under the cable over the rocker cover, only 42p so cheers for that SPI
