Anybody got any tips/ideas on cleaning header tanks? I bought a second hand one as mine was sprayed blue by some bright spark, but it's a little grubby inside.

Any ideas what to use?

Cut the top off then you'll be able to clean the inside

As above try the dishwasher or get some industrial cleaner and swish it around in there

 

I dont have a dishwasher

 

I do and I've just had her toes cut off to get her closer to the sink!

 

if u have no dishwasher put a load of bleach and hot water in it and leave overnight, it removes most of the crap then use a old tooth brush to scrub the sides and bottom, dont forget to block of all the holes first, i forgot to block the return pipe and bleach went everywhere

 

Dishwasher is good

Cillit Bang stuff is good

Or do what most do and buy a brand new one!

 

just go and buy an new one for 25 pounds

 

are they that cheap then i would of gone and bought one instead of bleaching mine

 

Where can you get one for £25?? I wouldn't have boothered buying this one if I'd known. It only cost me £3 tho
