hi there, i own a mk3 1.6 carb cabby, im currently building(or atempting to!) a rst engine for her. i have a couple of questions. firstly can anyone recommend and books or anywhere i can buy info from to help me do this and secondly, if my car is a mk3, the engine parts ive been buying are from mk4s what loom do i buy? i thought a s2 loom but someone recently told me id need a s1 loom, so now im not sure
thanks in advance, and sorry if this seems a dumb question!

Hey, and welcome!
As Rick says the haynes on CVH's is good.
As for management, if you are in the early stages i really really really would advise you to run it on EFI, as opposed to a S2's MFI system.
There is stacks and stacks of info spread about here on EFI conversions and im sure Rick will agree its a wise move for longterm benefits
