Default What Management To Go For?

Still got MFI on my S2, but not sure what management to go for... and what is out there now...whats recommended?

My car is 200bhp, 220lb tq and that was on a weak actuator. I want more power but not going to go silly on it.

I have the following mods if that helps..

Engine done 70k
Chipped
Stage 3 T3 turbo
-31 Actuator
K/N Induction
T2 cam
Alloy Rad
GRS Intercooler
Mongoose Exhaust

and Koni's and rear discs (just incase you needed to know )

Cossie management just seems such a ballache to gather all the required parts for a 20 odd year old system! Sure it's good, but there's other options out there.

Obviously every management system has advantages and disadvantages. Likewise there are many opinions regarding it. Here is my take on it

OFAB or OFAC is very expensive to map and can only be done by a few people which ensures this keeps the price high, as I wish to develop my engine specification in the future having more than one map done for my car makes it not cost effective, for this reason

Go-tech... I simply want a choice regarding who maps my car, I do not wish to be forced to use a specific tuner or mapper.

Megasquirt simply because its a educational project lacked the support, parts and features I desire, im not knocking the system however I did not personally feel comfortable with it.

Omex I never really looked at for some reason.

The reason that I went for Cossie is that I believed if it was enough for a 400-500bhp cossie it most certainly would be capable of delivering the required performance for my Escort.. The cossie management is well known, reliable, its proven in motorsport and is capable of being mapped by a vast number of tuners around the UK.
This can be an important consideration for many people especially if your preferred tuner does not promote a specific management.

The resale value and desirability of cossie management ensures that much of the original costs can be recovered when selling second hand.
My ECU which has been modified to take Dizzyless ignition, Air injectors and water injection along with a pectel monitor would sell for near on what I paid for it tomorrow without problem, in fact I have been asked to sell it... the devaluation is minimal when compared to some of the other managements I investigated.

Many people point out the age of the cossie system as if this reason alone for not considering it, however by the same assumption we should scrap all the escorts and cossies as they are now around the same age also.

I personally never had an issue obtaining all the parts I required and am convinced that I have made the correct choice for myself

Everyone has different things to consider which effects their choice and I think its important for people to investigate all options available.

How long is a bit of string, it depends upon the features of your ECU and everything else you want.

Mine currently owes me around £1200 although there are parts I want to change at present and I expect this will end up in the region of £1800... considering the features and capability's of mine I feel its pretty good value.
How much would all the parts for any other management systems with water injection, air injectors, coil pack, ALS and monitoring capability's cost ?

Likewise another consideration for me personally was how much a competing management would sell for second hand.... A P8 with modified for Dizzyless ignition, Air injectors and water injection along with a pectel monitor and ALS by Paul Hills or EA would sell for good money and quickly
