anyone done it, is it a difficult job ? got told they more or less fit straight in.

 

they will probably go in, but they will sound shit. They are designed for use on a shelf, with a bit of air space behind them, i.e. a boot....

But 6x9s are just the shittest anyway. A good set of comps up the front, some mids in the rear for a bit of fill if you wish in the back, then a sub in the boot

 

ive already got 7x10's on the shelf mate, and an amp and sub in the boot, just wanted a bit more sound up front because the standard speakers get dround out by all the stuff being in the back.

 

get rid of the 7x10s. Good set on components up front. You don't want anything coming from the back really, i mean you don't go to a music concert and stand facing the back do you? If your listening to the radio, you don't stand with your back towards it do you? Your ears want to hear it coming from the front
