Default Hanging car doors - are they adjustible?

My passenger wing has rubbed on my door since i bought the car, and its increasingly pissing me off.

Is there anyway i can adjust the angle at which the door hangs, so the panel gap is correct again?

Cheers

Yes, the holes in the pillar are elongated so you can adjust the position of the door bu slackening off the bolts/nuts holding the hinges on.

Whats the gap like on the shut side of the door?

if its correct it may well be the wing thats out.

i thought the fezzy hinges were welded in place?

Yes they are

You need to change the door pins,

I did mine today, My bottom passenger pin had snapped

It can be a bitch of a job if there stuck in. you have to heat them up to get them out.

Cheers.

yeah, first check would need to be if there was any play in the hinge pins, open the door and grab the open end ,try to move it up and down there should be very minimal movement.
if there is movement, get a mate to see where it is while you move the door ,they are common for breaking hinges off the pillar, and pins wearing out.

either is fairly simple to sort out.

after that, you need to check the shut gap and see if thats ok, if it is you have a wing prob.

but there are ways of adjusting the gaps if you know how ,ie blocks of wood but be carefull!

ps there are special hinge pin removing tools for these!
