Howdy all. I took the photo's, and going off what I was told from the owner, wrote that little feature. If I'm honest, I'm more of a Jap car man myself, so I was really relying on the owner for info. The owner is a good friend and a top lad, and only really wanted some nice pictures of his car online, so don't be too harsh on either of us, as it was only meant to be a bit of fun.
If it's deffinately wrong, then let me know and I'll alter it.
And I'll spell 'Beginning' right next time too

I'll never understand this 'original must be better' philosophy. I'm sure the vast majority of what's around the fuel filler isn't original either. They came from the factory with a rusty rear end didn't they?

It's actually a 2.1 Zetec/CVH turbo hybrid now. Although I think he's having trouble with engine management.

 

They only made 50 so yes i'd say they were getting rarer.

 

I wonder how rare though. Surely a decent percentage will have been written off, and some will have been resprayed by naive owners. And there must be a few that were nicked and stripped for parts.
There's only 13 listed above, and one of those is the one in my feature.

Probably 400 Fiestas in total of any spec....i know XR2i 16v's could be had in silver for example. Very rare regardless, but unless someone convices me different my fiesta nerd knowledge tells me only 50 FRST's were released.

 

i love fez turbos iv had 3 of them they are well fun its like a motox bike with 4 wheels you need to change gear like an epaleptic when you cane them
