My New Series 1
Well I finally found a nicely priced S1 that I was happy to spend sum cash on! Its a 1985 C reg Custom. Original panels all round and only the drivers wing has had paint, not bad for a car thats 22 years old! Hoping to either send the car to John Taylor or similar ppl or do a resto underneath and under the bonnet myself. The car has had 5 previous owners the last 2 being father and son, the son had it for 2 years then the guy I bought it off had it for 11 years! The car has 43,143 on it and is in very good condition,no rot just minor surface rust in places nothing to worry about! Has a nice uncracked dash in it, although it has an alarm LED in it, It's not too bad  The car has been treated to some Autoglym last night by myself and Tom Shaw (user on here)
It has FFSH and the original 2 keys also, waxolyed underneath which has helped alot! just ordered loads of parts for the resto, still need more tho!
Big thanks goes to RSwoza for helping me on his lunchbreak on the phone, whilst I was viewing the car! As I flew out to Birmingham last monday to view the car and left a deposit at the same time!
The exhaust is a S2 one I think and is rotten so thats first to hit the bin! Paintwork is very good for a car of this age, has been well looked after and a credit to Pete who has had it for the past 13 in his family! Hasn't seen rain in all this time he said!
Well enough gibbering on and enjoy the pics! I'll try and get sum more when the weather turns better!
