i recently converted from mfi to efi
i have my idle valve vented to atmosphere without a filter on it at the mo because i havnt sourced a efi crossover pipe,
my problem is after i blip the throttle the revs run on for abit before returning to idle,
if i squeeze the rubber hose on the idle valve to restrict the gap then the revs go straight back to idle after a blip as it should
would this indicate a dodgy idle valve? or is this acting like this because the idle valve rubber hose is drawing to much air in from atmosphere and needs to be put back to the charge pipe to restrict the air flow abit more?

Hi rstski i had this problem when i converted and it turned out to be a air leak from the inlet manifold gasket which caused this.
but saying that my car drives very juddery at low revs and i believe its because i vented the idle control valve pipe aswell and is causing a slight leak.
also disconnect your idle control valve when nice and hot and set your base idle to 750rpm
report back your results when you fit the new cross over pipe.

i just put a filter on the idle hose and its still the same
but again if a squeeze the hose the revs return to idle has normal
guess il have to source a fezzy crossover pipe and try that
