Hello to everybody, finally I have been decided to post some pics of my 3door painted in blue.
But first of all a few pics when the car was white and we were working on it.


A lot of stuff waiting to be refurbished

Nuts and bolts. Some have been refurbished some have been changed

No rust.

Oh my god. So many cables to clean and to recover, but I have done it.
It took me almost a week



incredibly they came from FORD

These are my comps, ready to fit again after passing the MOT

And here she was in white, waiting for the big surgery.

AND NOW SHE IS BLUE


She arrived at home. Ready to fit the engine.
Then she will be returned back to the painter

I forgot to say that all this job has been done in Spain by my mates JuanCarlos and MIguelAngel and by me.
It took me almost 4 years.

Yes mate its Rover trophy blue, and I must tell that the pictures don´t make justice.
The car looks fantastic

 

Don´t worry mates I hope to pass the MOT next week. Next minute the comps will find home, and I will post some pictures.

In Spain the MOt rules are very stricts.
I have all the modifications homologated, but in my case I have homologated two types of tires, 215/35/18 and 225/35/18 but have to be the same for four wheels, and I have 215 in the front and 225 at the rears
So to avoid problems, I will go with the 17s which are homologated and once the MOT passed i swap them.

Mayby standard in spain - if not i know theres alot of places in spain that will do this conversion to any car for obvious reasons.

Hi Carlo, the car has air con. In Spain was an option fitted at the dealer, and as this car was a dealer demo the first 6 months of its life, it is fitted.
Rebuilding the car I was about to take it off the car, but at the end thinking about the Mallorcan weather I kept it.

I saw on the last fast ford mag your fantastic escort cab with cosworth engine. Amazing job you done Geoff.

Imperial blue was my first choice, but at the end decided MG Trophy Blue
