my wheel bearing has been on its way out and heard a clonking in a straight line the other day so today I changed it but as I was changing it I noticed the gater from my cv joint next to the gearbox was hanging off.

Would my cv joint be gone also?? I cant test it yet as I'm borrowing a torque wrenchg tomorrow night to torque up the main hub nut.

how much are cv's anyway?

Inner CV joints are rare to go, they don't get put through the same stress as an outer one, would be a good idea to fit a new gaitor and pack it with grease though
