I know im doing this wrong as my car is nearly finished now but thought i still ought to do a thread
She started her life with me pretty much standard and that even managed to last about a year before money started getting spent

Didnt manage to get a pic when she was completely standard but just a few shiny bits in this pic

Just over 2 years ago i had done the usual T3 conversion which went very well but was pretty laggy after being used to the T2 spinning up really early in the revs but it was still good when the power did kick in
Decided to have some nice head work at the same time







Then last year at an rr day at power engineering Chris Todd told me that my bottom end was a bit tired and could do with a refresh which was fair enough even thought the mileage wasnt that high! But even after being told this i still managed to do the Fast Ford Fiesta thrash and a grudge match for Performance Ford and didnt do too badly

During last summer i managed to get hold of another bottom end and sent it of to a very handy man in Ipswich with the intention of building this one up for my car.

Had some nice S1 wheels all polished up but after buying Hi spec 4pots discovered that they wouldnt fit on the car
so they stayed in a box for about a year before i decided on the comps

Anyway... back to the engine
A car most of you might know belonging to a very good friend of mine Tom Scarlett

His headgasket decided to go last summer and between us we came to an agreement on alot of his engine parts including, bottom end and tubular manifold
so instead of starting afresh on another bottom end a fantastic price was sorted and a list was made of things i was going to have from his monster of a car

Well the car came off the road last December but just didnt have the time to start work on it till end of Jan this year
Decisions were still going on about the choice of the turbo as Tom really wanted me to try a gt28 but money prevailed me from spending until i spotted one day Shorty had one for sale

Well got slight issue with that
something is draining the battery so much that it wont even turn over hoping to sort out tonight as dont fancy being up again at 3.30am with the poxy alarm going off again

Simon managed to sort getting a bracket welded on for my accelerator cable and after a few adjustments got it to line up ok after finding the right cable to fit at the pedal aswell

Not sure on power at the mo tbh Shorty
Fields set her up the other day and said that the car was undrivable at 28psi
so now turned down to peak at 23 and holding at 19
Collected car on Wednesday eve but took it steady on the way home
