Default esccos buying question

Does it matter if escort cosworths have pretty high mileage on them?
And if there is no history with the car?

Except with the present owner who has put everything new onto the car.

tbh, history in my eyes is history - go on the condition as it is now - a book full of stamps means its been to ford, but doenst mean its had anyt work done

When i bought mine it had 70k on the clock. I looked at a dozen or so cars with less than half that mileage and were all sh,,it,
its nice to have a bit of history , it just means the previous owners have looked after the car, EG oil changes ect, mines got 96k on it now and its proberly a better car than some cars with 40k on them.

exactly - cossies are quite easy to see and hear if they are running right (if they are its agood indication of being well maintained) if oil changes have been skimped it will be evident without the need for a stamp in a book that costs 120 quid for a oil/filter change - enev when supplying you own oil, im dubios of them even putting it in and not just swapping you castrol RS for some pissy thin cheap shite and they keep you good stuff for themselves - i would not trust a main delaer as far as i could throw them.

get this for one.... (i leaned the hard way on my 1st cossie) its in for a cambelt change. they phone me up sayn git needs new fanbelt also which was about 20 quid but wanted to charge 35 quid to fit it - -HOLD ON THERE!!! you've had to take it off to get th cambelt off you muppet so hows about me not paying ANY extra other than the price of the belt - but if you didnt know , theyd have your money off you for fun.

Don't know about his car or the mileage, you say high, but how high!!!

If it hasn't been to mars and back it should be (don't quote me) fine as long as its been well looked after!!!

If the current owner has done most of the miles then the only thing that could be worrying (if not already replaced) is the turbo!

They don't like age!! But then again they don't like sitting in a de humidified garage either!!!

All the best cars will look/act/become old eventually!

I bought a 120000 mile 4x4 saff and the only thing that let me down on that was me driving it into the central reservation of the M4 (after 160000 miles!!!)

Happy motoring (you knock him down on the price as well!!!)
