Series one !!!!!
I’m selling my Series 1. I have spent 3 years restoring it. I have done only 500 miles since finishing it a month ago. I have to sell her due to moving to Australia.
The car has been stripped to bare shell.
The Engine bay has been painted, and inside boot painted. The under-car and wheel arches also painted white.
Floor pan inside car painted, and new sound deadening pads stuck in.
All rot cut out and replaced with new metal. This car is solid. The only filler used was to make good fresh metal that I have welded in. I have sprayed 2.5 liters wax oil into every cavity on the body shell.
The dashboard is in good condition. Interior is in very good condition. No worn seat bolsters. Has original rear shelf.
The Bodywork had had a full re-spray before I owned the car. Everything standard on bodywork and interior, apart from passenger door which has been de-locked.
It has Spax adjustables, poly bushes, complete new rear brakes and hand brake cables.
It has new brake pipes, new braided hoses, series 2 front discs-drilled vented, new petrol tank, and 5 new yokohama tyres.
The engine has been rebuilt, and only 500 miles done. It has new piper cam kit and cam belt, and a ported head. The head and block have been skimmed. It has new felbro head gasket, new rings and shells, new water pump, new AP racing 4 paddle clutch kit, and MK5 Escort clutch pedal assembly. It has K&N air filter, a new Scorpion exhaust. New-ish starter motor, and a new alternator, and new Ford battery, new wiring loom and brake pipe clips etc. New blue Samco boost and water hoses, a Bailey dump valve, and standard chip, plus boost gauge.
There are many spares including spare engine and gearbox, standard shocks, fuel metering units plus more included with the sale.
I have a box full of receipts and paper work and manuals including original bookwork the car came with.
This car has had 13 previous owners and done 94,000 miles so it was in need a good tidy up when I got her 3 years ago. Unfortunately I cannot guarantee the mileage because there was no service history with the car.
As you might guess I have put countless hours and a lot of money into the project, but I’m over the moon with the finished car. The car is not in concourse condition but I would have been more than happy to show her at the Ford shows.
It has 11 months MOT, and 5 months tax.
I’ve just put this car up for sale and I’m looking for, in the region of, £5,000.
