Default grooved discs help

i had grooved discs fitted to my car all round a short time back,i dont have a photo to hand but im sure theyve been put on back to front.........what i mean is left and right wrong way round so the groove is facing backwards........anyone got pics of correct and non please

as im pretty sure they will warp easily if not on right and maybe do the pads quicker too.........thanks in advance

you would be better checking the cooling vanes are not specific to which side they go on like APs as this will make a difference.

these are black diamonds and i put them on myself they were marked up as to which side they go....here you go pic not the best though

some vanes in the middle of the disc are directional to work better like AP and Brembos - imagine your disc as a sandwitch of the 2 sides - I'm taking about the vanes in the middle - cheaper discs - these are usually just straight so it does not matter but on something like an AP they are angled to work better and draw air through the disc more cooling them better. If you put these round the wrong way you are making it much harder for the air to be drawn through. See what yours are before worrying about the grooves - they are probably straight though but check.

na they arent any decent make,i just bought off ebay,think they are just standard and been put through a laith

dont slag only bought them as seemed a good price with the redstuff pads for running my car in...............lol

u need some propper brakes fella....ne good going fast as fook (in a straight line 2wd.... )...if ur brakes arn't up to much....as soon as i even went to a 350bhp spec...6 pots...stop spending all ur money on iron brew....

the vanes are the inside of the disc. some vanes go in the same direction as the grooves tho.

next on the list is decent 6 pots up front and 4x4 rears/4 pots but funds are tight now....

pete id be that far in front of you,you wouldnt even catch me up at the corners...............lol............engine braking

Like said above. The direction of the 'grooves' on the face of the disc doesn't matter, it's the fins inside. If they're straight, don't worry. If they're angled towards the front of the car they're the wrong way round..

exactly phil good point

col i have had a mare with brakes at ur sort of power you need to think bigger brakes chap you will just warp them really quick , i was lucky i got a set of ap 330mm disks and bells with wilwood calipers for 300 but they are about at these prices just keep looking for them believe me os well worth it

yeah mate i have been keeping a look out,but i would want a complete kit if buying second hand,alot of the adds say need brackets made up and diffrent brake pipe ends etc..............i would take a decent pair of 4`s if they came up,ive just not got £1500-2000 to but 6`s brand new just now

i know my brakes are going to warp at crail i just know it
