Default Suggestions for rust

Below the bracket that supports the air filter, rust has started setting in, at the moment it doesn't look a great deal but I'd rather get rid soon as!! what measures can I take to minimise it until it's seen to properly?

cheers

either use a spot blaster or a wire brush in a drill, then use some rust converter followed by filler primer and topcoat, should last well then, can all be done with a spray can.
