Computer was slow as shit and as I do not want to spend any money on computers (I have better things to spend it on) I nabbed my brothers old hard drive and set windows virtual memory to absolutely swamp it.

Basically its using that as RAM rather than anything else.

Is this a bad idea in the long run and should I stop being tight fisted and buy some proper RAM or is this ok just for general speedy use?

I know mate, its minty minty, its just that it has 256mb RAM and I abuse it using about 8 high CPU apps at once.

Was just wondering if this worked.
