is this right, MOT discussion??
was having a discussion with my mate on sat night in the pub about MOT's
he put his TVR (4.0 litre V8) in for its mot and was slightly concerened about the emissions
how fooking syuprised was he to find that his CO emissions were reported back to him as folloews :
quote:
CO at idle - 0 ppm (pass rate 0 - 100)
CO at fast idle - 4 ppm (pass rate 0 - 200)
are these right?
as i always thought it was 3.5%CO to pass the mot (which is 35000ppm??)
tried looking up the mot regs on the net but couldnt find them
anyone help

it depends on what year you are tested for
it doesn't seem to be that that test was for cats ebcause there would be other numbers on it, but they is very good pass marks

the car in question is a 1996 chimera (with cats)
just wondering what the chriteria for that is.
according to this his emissions are cleaner than our diesel engines at wrok, which are compliant to Euro 5 and US07 specs
