Default my cars gone pants.....again

had an air leak on the inlet manifold..must have been there for ages but never noticed as the car always ran sweet and idled loverly...

fixed the air leak ,now the car idles shite ,fine with the iscv off ,but even with the car hot, the iscv is holding the idle up
doulble checked all plugs on well, and no air leaks at all now, tested it to 2 bar.

the secs monitor is showing good results.... and im getting good voltages from the lambda

and the car is using more fuel than normall too

its a L8 closed loop cossie btw

done that... started with the 5 turns in ,then two turns out method...set it to .9%

the iscv should have no effect on idle when the car is hot... but mine does, i think this is a tps fault?

the fact its using loads of fuel indicated to me its not in closed loop ,even though the secs monitor is giving me good feedback, this doesnt mean its working.... the lambda is surging as it should... but the ecu may not be going into closed loop.

ther are loads of things it could be.... map sensor ,wiring loom fault...tps

fuel pressure is 3.5 bar at idle with the pipe off
c.o at idle .9%
Plug gap .65
secs is showing all good figures as normal
No air leaks tested to 2 bar

I've got a wideband lambda kit you can borrow if it helps at all James... see what your AFRs are up to...

You'll need a new lambda sensor boss though...

Hope you get it sorted, your car was flying a dew weeks ago

I also have a brand new TPS you can test on the car if you want.

Mine's in Blackpool, so I don't know

It made it there though

Will await many phone calls from Mr Stu advising me on what bit has fallen off next!

I can bring the wideband down tomorrow if it will help.
Just realised I've fooked up with the TPS - it's in my Cossie with Stu as a spare in case mine plays up. Sorry about that.

Still Trev and Richie have working ones (I'd guess) that they could lend you just to eliminate that item from the list of potential issues.
