Out of curiosity, what is the benefit?

Even if you are converting to wasted spark, why not leave the phase sensor in the dizzy?

Genuine question

The only benefit on a road car is the extra bling value

The Grp A / WRC cars had it relocated so its less prone to getting wet when they are going through water splashes etc.

The cam trigger, sensor and sensor holder costs about £120 from Mountune.

You then need to have the inlet cam and the cam cover machined, about £80.

Then you can remove the dizzy and replace it with a billet oil pump drive or just leave the dizzy in place. Billet oil pump drive is about £85-£100.

See my post for futher info

Which i need to finish

Havent a clue TBH. It made 735hp at the hubs in June last year. I'd say that is conservative though, as I had to pull loads of timing out to actually get a smooth run on the dyno.
The dyno didnt seem to like it.

Also been a few changes since, then, and more currently in progress.

Honestly its a waste of money Would be better off getting a new engine loom or put the money towards a Live Map

I know it is....

Engine loom is fine, and its on a Haltech

But there are far more important things to spend money on as you say.... Head, cams, manifold, T61, fitting GTR gearbox to name a few

Getting there slowly but surely though

I'd have thought you're better off having the cam trigger etc. on the colder side of the engine for reliability, if you have the option?

Tis funny what we all end up doing in the name of 'improvement'!

I always fancied changing mine over for aftermarket management with a more accurate engine speed sensor (a 31tooth job), but to be honest, I think that the L8 is doing a pretty good job so far, and with modern software these days, I havent outgrown it
