Default URGENT !!! Microsoft Word file recovery

is there a folder that contains the files that word recovers, i.e when the power goes off or for some reason word is exited... it recovers files that you were working on...

if anyone knows how to access these previously recovered files please let me know, i dont want to have to start an assignment from 1/2 way through again....

thanks for any help

Last time I had that happen to me, when I reopened 'Word', the file automatically opened as a 'recovered' file.

This might work. Click on File... Open. On the open box, there is an arrow for a drop down box, click on open and repair.
