Default NOT water cooling a turbo???

my new motor has had the water cooling removed from the turbo (so its only using oil cooling).

Is this gonna be a problem? It was running a T34 like this but now has a T3 back on it.
I'm about to put a T34 back on it, is it ok with no water or should I fuck about reconnecting it?

its low comp, BD10's etc aiming for 28psi and 400bhp (ish)

its meant to be ok as a lot of high spec cars have the water cooling removed as it heats the engine up too much very quickly ive heard( not gospal)

best way too get round it if your not confident in this method is to run a seperate cooling system running your own pre turbo rad & water pump therefore keepng the water in the engine temps as low as poss but cooling the turbo itself as its a seperate system

yes Jules, it is

I was very interested in it when he was selling it in April but was getting married so didnt have the time/funds to get it.

The guy who bought it off him has put AP 6 pots and defis on it but taken the turbo off and I've just bought it off him

Im throwing a T34 back on and sorting a few bits out and taking it to Australia with me!

Just make sure you let it tick over for a few mins before switching off the engine and i'm sure it will be fine! My last 2 T4's and my current grpA T3 didn't run coolant and have been ok
Nice car that Henry Was going to buy it myself a while back but not a lover of the blue and would have ended it buting it up

As you know Spadge, I've been looking for a 400 horse 3 door for a while now and moonstone is my favourite colour, so with all the extras on this one it would have been rude not to buy it Now all I've got to do is flog my Saph as I really cant afford to have two cossies

The air injectors were never connected and have since been sold

The car is featured in this months fast ford

and I was told that with no water cooling its especially important to let it cool fully before switching it off
