Default Tyre choice

what is the prefered choice for tyres?

will be using the car for mainly dry use but looking for sommant that's not gonna be lethal should it start to rain!

will be putting them on a set of escos rims and onto a sapphire so probably be looking for a set of 215/45/16's

cheers
dave

Goodyear eagle F1's are a good choice of tire. Perform well in dry and wet conditions. Very predictable in the wet i thought.

TOYO T1R.
I have had F1(mondeo) would not again, lasted well excellent tyre, but noisy harsh whitelined, and two outn of four developed bulges for no reason, one on inner edge one on outer edge.
Had A539 Yoki's on rear excellent tyre also, dad has car now and just fitted T1R's what a diffrence, EVERY aspect is better, including grip wet and dry.
I have UNIROYAL RAINSPORT on my cos and these are very very good awsome in wet, though not as good as F1 in dry, but make ride very hard.

Have Uniroyal Rallye 540 on my 15'' wich is very good in the wet and under dry also not bad.

On my 17'' i have Avon ZZ3,these are very good in the rain and dry, superb tyre.I believe BMW uses them on the M3 cars

Second that, otherwise i would think you'll have clearance issues.

I'd say F1's personally, I had T1R's and the car didn't feel as though it was as tight (if that makes sense)
