If u had a zetec engine kicking about would u rebuild the zetec 2 go in your rst or would u rebuild the cvh???? i have this very problem and i don't know what the hell to do

if i was to change pistons etc in a cvh id rather do it to a zetec....thats my new motto

2 very good points has anyone eles got an opinion????????? The 2.0 zetec allready has a escort zetec sump,water pump and flywheel also the engine mounts have been modified.

Far more effort to do the zetec IMO, and to make it a GOOD turbo'd motor you are going to have to chuck SO much more money at it.

It would all depend what the cars worth, how deep your pockets are, how long you plan to keep it etc.

i'd like to keep it for a fair few years i'v done to much to the body to let it go lol.i would.nt be building the zetec over night it would be over a couple of years

To do the Zetec properly, I'd want to change the stroke which means new crank and rods.

The later Black top crank and rods are better than the early silver top crank and rods.

I'd want to change the rods on CVH (but not the crank) as well though but it all depends on what power you are after.

i have a silver top i was going to fit new rods but leave the crank do u know how much bhp the crank can take???
