clutch adjustment

Default clutch adjustment

the clutch on my escort rs tubo s2 87 is bitting right at the bottom when the pedals pressed in is there anyway to adjust it so it bites about half way

Clutch is self adjusting so it probably means your clutch cables stretched or your clutch is on the way out.Iv,e converted mine to a MK6 ESCORT CLUTH PEDDLE which you can adjust yourself.

can you chance the hole gear box cos the 1 in is not relly clever feels really lose struggles getting 3rd and just nfeels really sloppy not precise if you know what i mean

Check your mounts! They may well be shot. cheaper than a gearbox too!

I have similar prob
I changed my gearbox for an lsd gearbox on my s2, since I must press the pedal at bottom to de-clutch, my clutch is a reinforced ap racing and it has 2k miles, my clutch cable is tended and the lever of selector on the gearbox move a little when I declutch
how to adjust the clutch guard? The self adjust doesn't seems to work

If you've got strange biting points its probably cos your teeth have broken on your quadrant.

Id rather have it low down than at the top of the pedal though, at least you know your clutch is ok

The quadrant is the plastic piece of poo which breaks, on the pedal

Its a quarter of a circle in shape, hence the name quadrant
